A place of sharing and generosity during the holy month

The holy month of Ramadan is a time of spirituality, sharing and generosity. At Hotel Mandji in Port-Gentil, we welcome this blessed period with the greatest respect and sincere hospitality. Who are the guests we receive? Gabonese families, business travellers, members of the Muslim community of Port-Gentil and all those who wish to share a moment of togetherness around universal values of brotherhood and solidarity.

What does Hotel Mandji offer during Ramadan? Every evening, at the time of breaking the fast, our restaurant transforms into a warm gathering place where tables are set with elegance. The first dates and traditional milk mark the beginning of Iftar, followed by the call to prayer broadcast in a dedicated space set up within the hotel. Our team ensures that every detail is respected so that our Muslim guests feel fully welcomed.

A generous and authentic Iftar buffet

When and where does Iftar take place? Every evening during Ramadan, from sunset, our restaurant welcomes guests around a sumptuous buffet. Our chef has composed a menu that pays tribute to the culinary traditions of the Muslim world while incorporating the local flavours of Gabon. On the menu: creamy harira, chicken and almond briouates, vegetable samosas, grilled lamb skewers, royal couscous, chicken tagine with olives and preserved lemons, Gabonese-style grilled fish, and a selection of fresh mixed salads.

Sweet treats to break the fast

How do we complement this feast? With a selection of oriental pastries and homemade desserts that delight the palate: honey and pistachio baklava, gazelle horns, sesame chebbakia, date cream, chocolate mousse, fresh seasonal fruits and mint tea served in the purest tradition. Every bite is an invitation to a culinary journey, a bridge between African and Eastern cultures that enriches our community in Port-Gentil.

A dedicated prayer space and adapted schedules

Where can our guests pray? Hotel Mandji provides a clean, comfortable prayer room oriented towards the Qibla. Prayer mats and copies of the Quran are provided. Our service hours are adapted throughout the month of Ramadan: the Suhoor breakfast is available from 4:00 AM for those who wish to eat before dawn, and dinner service is extended to welcome Iftar guests until 11:00 PM.

A spirit of community and sharing

Why choose Hotel Mandji for Ramadan? Because we firmly believe that hospitality is a universal value. Every Friday evening during Ramadan, we organize a community Iftar open to all, where families from Port-Gentil are invited to share a meal in a fraternal atmosphere. These special evenings include Quranic recitations, intercultural exchanges and moments of sharing that strengthen the bonds within the Port-Gentil community.

Comfortable rooms for your stay

For those staying at the hotel during Ramadan, our 90 rooms offer the ideal comfort for rest and rejuvenation. Room service is available 24/7 to meet the specific needs of our fasting guests. Suhoor baskets can be delivered directly to your room, and our reception team is trained to accompany each guest with discretion and kindness.
